As a test, I shut down Emulation Station and left the Pi on, but it still goes to "Sleep" after 10 minutes or so.Īnyway, I just wanted to see if anyone else is running into this problem?Ībout a week ago I followed the same procedure and updated from 4.5.8 to 4.5.9 and didn't run into this timeout/connection issue.

Now, the controllers and USB wired Keyboard won't even wake it up. Then, I could just use the bluetooth controller or keyboard on the Pi to wake it up again. Previously, if I left Emulation Station open, the screen would fade-out a little but I could still access the files from another computer. After the 4.6 update though, the Raspberry Pi times-out or goes to sleep after about 10 minutes and I lose the connection to the Pi. I connect to the IP address using Windows Explorer on another PC to see the files on the Pi. I like to keep the Pi on in the background while I upload and back-up roms, etc.

I went through the internal update process within RetroPie (Raspberry Pi 3 B), updating from 4.5.9 to 4.6 and everything seemed to work very well initially.
